Rick Levine's December 2022 Astrology Forecast
De astrologische voorspelling voor december
It may seem to many as if we’ve been in a holding pattern since early in 2020. It felt permanent, as if we were stuck in in a time loop like Ground Hog’s Day. Every month, people would ask if it would ever end. Every month, the answer was the same: it’s too early to tell. Thankfully, clarity is returning, but maybe not fast enough. Slowly but surely, unintegrated pieces of reality are falling into place like a jigsaw puzzle as the outer planets continue their prograde march. Neptune turns direct on December 3 and Chiron follows suit on the 23rd. Meanwhile, Mars is retrograde in Gemini all month, undeterred by the greater shift to direct motion. Although fleet-footed Mercury turns retrograde on December 29, both Mars and Mercury end their backstepping in January, along with Uranus. We are unable to resist the swift forward movement. We are already feeling this blast into the future with the Sun, Mercury, and Venus traveling through adventurous Sagittarius. Plus, Jupiter, Saturn, Chiron, Neptune, and Pluto are all either currently plowing new fields or will be by the end of the year. We are being pushed and pulled into unfamiliar terrain and there’s little we can do to resist the inevitable currents of change. December’s lunations are both quite potent. The Gemini Full Moon on December 7 is partile conjunct Mars, revealing our potential to become trapped by our own negative thoughts. Frustration turns to anger when it cannot find a path toward release. The Capricorn New Moon on December 23 is a reminder that steady, methodical progress is better than impulsive leaps of faith that could land us on unstable ground. Nevertheless, we are tempted to overindulge (Sun-Jupiter square) and take clever shortcuts (Mars in Gemini) whenever possible. Less is more when our integrity is at stake. Jupiter enters spontaneous Aries on December 20, just prior to the Winter Solstice (in the Northern Hemisphere) when the Sun enters strategic Capricorn on December 21. We are agitated because Jupiter in Aries says, “Grow now and ask questions later,” while the practical Capricorn planetary pile-up tells us to spend time making plans before undertaking anything. There is no progress without contraries this month, yet managing conflict requires precious energy that could otherwise be applied to fulfilling our ambitions. We have navigated our way through treacherous currents; we have rounded a major curve. We have survived great tests and surprising challenges. Now it’s time to look into the future and to explore the unknown territory ahead. But we must start slowly and gradually accelerate to a more productive pace through the spring of next year. Sustainability is key to our success.
